As a designer at Studio Butch, I had the incredible opportunity to help spearhead the design of a breakthrough jewelry store in Marin when Cast Jewelry approached us to help create their first-ever retail store. This project marked the evolution of an online-only brand into a physical space that embodies the essence of luxury, timelessness, and the unexpected.

With these qualities in mind, we expanded upon their identity by working to create a retail store that would ground that elegance in a physical space.

The central “jewel box” case was designed to celebrate the brand’s existing identity and bring a strong pillar of light into the space with which the consumer flow revolves.

Wall-mounted displays save valuable square footage while defying the trend of low, floor-mounted glass cases in jewelry stores. This design keeps the eye up off the floor and traverses a vertical plane.

The centerpiece of the store is the glowing clutch wall that gives credit to the brand and takes advantage of the unique architecture of the space.

RENDER TO REALITY:

Our pre-visualization of the store included scale accurate 3D models that utilized the pre existing space as a canvas. This build out was done from the ground up with no existing fixtures in place, so we spared no expense to create a beautiful rendering that would reflect the new design.
